The PADI Open Water diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
Dive today! All of our courses are flexible, heaps of fun and have group sizes of no more than 6. All of our dive equipment is top quality and every student has the use of a dive computer and quality titanium regulators.
The PADI Open Water course will teach you to freedom dive with a buddy independent of a professional to a depth of 18 metres. The certification opens up a whole new world of underwater adventure and discovery.
The course introduces both dive theory and fun practical sessions. The easy to follow workbook can be completed independently in your own time.
You will learn:
- How much fun scuba diving is
- Scuba diving equipment considerations for your local diving environment
- How to plan, and execute actual dives
- How to prevent and manage problems
The PADI Open Water course is made up of:
- Knowledge development home study to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
- Confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills.
- Open water dives to review your skills and explore.
If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water diver course certification.
After enrolling for the course we will post you a PADI pack and a guide on which independent study is to be done before the course. You will receive a study book, an electronic dive planner, log book and a great pack to keep it all in, all of which is yours to keep.

To enrol in an Open Water or Junior Open Water diver course, you must:
- Be 10 years or older.
- Have a “fit to dive” medical signed by your local doctor before starting your course
- Sign an Awesome Scuba learning agreement.
After you have finished the Open Water course you can do either your PADI Adventure Diver course or PADI Advanced Open Water course. Also you can join our dive club which dives regularly, every dive club member is entitled to great benefits including online and hire gear discounts.
